Scio School District Child Care and Preschool Interest Survey
Scio School District is exploring whether there is sufficient community interest to develop additional child-care and early-learning options for local families.
Two possible programs are being considered:
After-school care for school-age students, potentially available until 6:00 p.m.
Full-day preschool for children who are 3 or 4 years old.
These programs would depend on available funding, staffing, facilities, and licensing requirements. Families would likely pay a portion of the cost. The District would also explore grant funding and participation in Oregon’s Employment Related Day Care (ERDC) program, which may help eligible families pay for child care.
