Announcing Centennial’s New Principal

Dear Scio Families and Community Members,

I am excited to share that Lindsay Alsup has been selected to serve as the next Principal of Centennial Elementary School.

Lindsay has done an outstanding job serving as interim principal this year. She has led with dedication, care, and a clear focus on what’s best for students. Her ability to handle challenges with grace, while building strong relationships with staff and families, has already made a positive impact on our school community.

Lindsay brings a wealth of experience to this role, including a strong background in special education and years of classroom teaching. She is deeply committed to supporting all learners and works tirelessly to ensure students feel safe, valued, and engaged. Her leadership style is rooted in collaboration and a passion for helping both students and staff thrive.

She also understands the unique strengths and values of the Scio community. Lindsay has shown that she will do all she can to provide the best learning environment for our students while supporting teachers in doing their best work.

As she steps into this important and challenging role, Lindsay is surrounded by a strong network of support—made up of dedicated staff, district leadership, and community members—ensuring she has the collaboration, encouragement, and resources to lead Centennial forward with confidence and care.

We are fortunate to have Lindsay continuing in this role, and I am confident that, together with our amazing staff and supportive families, she will continue building a school community we can all be proud of.
