Free Event: Health Through the Ages
The following email announcement was sent out today:
Hello Families,
I am delighted to announce an exciting collaboration between your very own District Nurse and Santiam Hospital! Come join us for the very first Santiam Hospital and Clinics’ Health Through the Ages Community Outreach Event, hitting Scio, on Jun 13, 2024, from noon – 3pm!
This FREE event aims to provide valuable health education and services to our community members of all ages. No registration is required.
It will include school and summer safety supplies, a range of health checks including blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol screenings, but what I am particularly thrilled to highlight is that we will be offering FREE SPORTS PHYSICALS to our students!
In addition to this, Linn County Public Health will be there with their mobile vaccine van!
Details of the event are as follows:
- Date: Thursday June 13th, 2024
- Time: Noon – 3pm
- Location: Scio High School Stadium

Sports Physical Information
- Sports Physical Flyer
- Required for any participating athlete grade 7th-12th, as well as 5th and 6th grade students that will be participating in cross country or track & field
- Sports Physicals are valid for 2 years
- Student must provide a signed consent form AND completed history form in order to take advantage of free physicals (parent/guardian does not need to be present)
