Scio Educators Receive First Vaccine Dose
Thanks to Santiam Hospital in Stayton, Scio educators were able to get their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine this past Saturday January 23, 2021. This is a huge step to help us prepare for a return to a hybrid in-person instructional model. Our staff is preparing for the return of our students and this is a step in helping increase the safety for everyone.
Another step will be the implementation of a state mandated COVID-19 testing program. Our schools will provide a voluntary testing program for staff and students displaying symptoms when arriving or present at school. This program will require parent permission prior to any testing being provided. So be on the look out in February for a permission slip to come home asking if you wish for your child to be included in the testing program. More information will be coming soon.
