School Re-entry Plan Updated 1/21/21: Upcoming Community Zoom Meeting
Dear families –
Our plan for school re-entry continues to gain traction as we move forward. We have committed to bringing back Kindergarten through 2nd grade students next Tuesday 1/26/21. It’s important to remember that when we return it will not look like the past. There will be many required safety protocols including the wearing of masks, social distancing, etc. that we will need to follow.
The current planned dates for return to in-person hybrid instruction are: (Hybrid schedules will be approximately 3-4 hours in length, individual schools will share specific times as they get determined. Busing is literally driving our schedules as we have limitations on how many students can ride a bus at one time. The social distancing requirements also limit the number of students we can have in classrooms, common spaces, etc.)
- Tuesday 1/26/21, K-2 return
- Monday 2/1/21, 3-5 return
- Monday 2/8/21, 6-12 return
Again these dates may change as requirements are always subject to change. We will be in need of great grace and patience as we all try to navigate this new school model. The good news is that we are able to begin a transition back to some form of in-person instruction.
We will again be hosting a Zoom meeting this Friday January 22, 2021 at 6:00pm to discuss the re-opening plan as determined to date and to try and answer questions. Please plan to join us and ask any questions you may have.
